10 Things To Do On A Melbourne Summer Holiday

When you visit Melbourne for a family holiday, there's always plenty of things to do to entertain the kids. With spacious family accommodation to return to each night, you can keep them happy and enjoy a host of fun adult activities too.

Melbourne is a very family friendly destination for a summer holiday. We've got 10 great things to do with the kids when you visit Melbourne in summer time.

    Finding A Base

The best way to enjoy a fun holiday in Melbourne with the family is to be relaxed, have a comfortable place to stay and be able to get around with ease. Hotel accommodation is fine for a couple of nights for a business trip, but not when you're travelling as a family and you're staying for a week or more. There is also the price to consider. The higher the cost of the accommodation, the less there is to spend on activities.

    Melbourne Holiday Apartments

Staying in a Melbourne holiday apartment is probably the best type of accommodation for visiting families. Serviced apartments are much more affordable than other forms of accommodation and provide all the comforts of home, allowing you to prepare your own meals, put your feet up and watch a movie on a comfy couch - even have your own private car space. A serviced apartment provides all the linen you need, a kitchen stocked with appliances and cooking utensils, stylish lounge rooms and comfortable beds. After a busy day out discovering the sites of Melbourne, retiring to your own serviced apartment in a quiet location, with supermarkets, fresh food and transport on your doorstep, makes a real difference to the holiday experience.

Not all holiday apartments are priced the same and it can depend on where they are located. Melbourne's eastern suburbs are an ideal location to find affordable or cheap serviced apartments in easy access of absolutely everything, and without the hefty price tag of a hotel. The eastern suburbs are the gateway to many of Melbourne's top tourist sites, so its the perfect based for your Melbourne holiday.
